[VIDEO] Should Students Be Allowed To Use Social Media In School?

A Relevant Question For Changing Times

Technology can be both a beautiful and scary thing. Schools are increasingly adopting new devices, tech policies, and teaching methods in an effort to keep up with the quickly shifting culture that our kids are growing up with.

As these changes occur, we have to ask the right questions. Here are a few that I think are vital for us to answer when considering how technology affects the school’s role:

  1. Should we ignore or embrace the change?
  2. To what extent?
  3. How much responsibility to educate these changes belong to the schools and how much belongs to the parents?

While these questions are vague and can be used for any change in technology, try applying them to the increasing importance of social media in our daily lives.
